Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) may sound a bit complicated on its own, but our voice service is used in the same way as traditional telephones. You don’t need to get a fancy new phone to use it. Just plug your regular landline phone into our analogue telephone adapter (ATA), and you’re good to go! Your voice signals are converted into data so they can be transmitted over the Internet, which allows your phone to run over the same reliable network as your Internet.

The reliability of our network is our highest priority because we know how important connectivity is to you.

If you lose your Internet connection because of a power outage at the service address, your Internet will go down and the voice services will not work.

You can protect against this situation by purchasing an inexpensive uninterruptible power supply (UPS), which provides a battery backup for your equipment and will keep your Internet and voice working even if you lose power as long as our network is still up and running. Please be aware, Voice service will not work in the event of a network outage even with a UPS in place.

Yes! When you sign up for Voice, just notify customer care that you’d like to port your number. You’ll have to fill out a form authorizing the transfer, but we’ll take care of the rest.

Make sure that you keep your existing phone service active until your number has been ported. If the old account is deactivated before the porting process is completed, there is a chance the number could be lost.
