Terrestrial Fixed Wireless is the service that we use to connect many of our rural customers, who may not be able to obtain Internet service from other types of providers, such as cable or DSL companies. We also provide fiber Internet connections and will check your address when you sign up to see which type of service might be available for you.
Fixed wireless service works by beaming a signal from a fixed access point, located at a Tower or other Network Site, to a radio mounted on your home. This radio can vary in size and shape, but typically it looks like a small dish.
The radio picks up the signal from the access point and is then connected to a Wi-Fi router, which provides online access. The Internet traffic travels back and forth from the Wi-Fi router, radio, and tower, allowing you Internet access to stream movies, get on social media, work from home, and travel the web wherever you need to go.
Fixed Wireless service is an excellent solution for rural or otherwise hard-to-serve areas and is how our company got its start delivering Internet service to the community!
Absolutely! We offer a Seasonal Hold option for Internet and Voice customers planning extended absences. Hold must be used for at least one month with a maximum of six months available per calendar year.
If you have had service with us for at least one year, just call our friendly support team at 719.937.7700 option 1 (one) to let us know you’ll be heading out of town, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Most likely, yes. For fixed wireless service, a cable will need to run from the radio to the interior equipment (POE and router). Fiber service requires a physical line, either hung aerially on power poles or through buried conduit, to connect your home.
Buildings can be prewired for service before the drywall goes up during construction to minimize any visible cabling. You can schedule a prewire appointment for one of our technicians to do this work by dialing 719.937.7700 option 1 (one).
If your home is already constructed and no conduit or smurf tube has been installed, then it is likely there will be visible cabling. Our field team will do their best to make the installation as aesthetically pleasing as possible and will be happy to work with you during the installation to create a plan that works for the service and for you!
In an increasingly connected world, we know how important it is to have unlimited data without hidden fees or throttled service, so Aristata provides buffet-style, all-you-can-eat Internet service with no data caps. That means you can use the Internet all you want, within the speed limits of your plan, without worrying about overage fees, throttled speeds, or service interruption.
So go ahead, watch that movie — it won’t cost you any extra.

Aristata will provide you with a small box called an Analog Telephone Adaptor, or ATA. This box will be delivered by mail with instructions or delivered by the field technician if you set up voice service and Internet at the same time.
Your Internet service plugs in on one side and your phone plugs in on the other side. Just connect your regular landline phone into the ATA and use it as usual.
Happily, our service works differently than dial up. You can use the Internet and your voice service at the same time. While they both use the same network, there’s plenty of capacity to handle Internet usage and voice calls simultaneously.
Voice service runs over the internet, so you do need an internet connection to use it. That internet connection can be provided by Aristata or another provider.
